<p><em></em><em><em>The aim of this research is to know the effect of using Predict Observe Explain (POE) method toward students’ achievement in Physics. This is an experimental research by using experimental group and control group. The research design was Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population of this research was the students of class VII SMPN 1 Lembar academic year 2015/2016. The sampling technique was Cluster Random Sampling in which class VII 2 as the control group and class VII 3 as the experimental group. Both of the groups were given a pre-test before the treatment to know the homogeneity of the groups. The instrument used is an objective test in form of multiple choices. The finding showed that the mean of the posttest in experimental group was 70 and the control group was 60.67, in which both of them were distributed normal and homogeneous. The post-test result was analyzed by using t-test (t-test polled variants) in which the value of the </em><em>was 2.473 and the </em><em> was 2.015 with dk=46 and the significant level was 5%. It showed that the </em><em>was accepted and </em><em>was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that Predict Observe Explain (POE) Method gave significant effect to the students’ achievement in Physics at Class VII SMPN 1 Lembar Academic year 2015/2016.</em></em><em></em></p>Elistiana SafitriKosim KosimAhmad Harjono

<p>This study aims to determine the effect of causal learning models on the creativity of class X students of MAN 2 Mataram academic year 2018/2019. The type of research used was quasi-experimental design with untreated control group design with pretest-and posttest. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA MAN 2 Mataram. The research sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique, so that students of class X MIA 6 were selected as many as 33 people as the experimental class and the X MIA 5 class as many as 34 people as the control class. The experimental class was given treatment in the form of causal learning models and control classes using conventional learning. The instrument used to measure the creativity of students in the form of a description test as many as 6 items. The research hypothesis was tested using the t-test with a significance level of 5%. The results of the t-test obtain a t-count value of 5.02 smaller than t_table which is equal to 2.00 (H<sub>0</sub> is rejected and H<sub>a</sub> is accepted). So it can be concluded that there is the influence of causal learning models on the creativity of students. This result can be proven by the N-gain test, where there is an increase in creativity by 37% for the experimental class and the control class by 19% with the medium category.</p>Imam Al AnshoriJoni RokhmatI Wayan Gunada

<em>This research aim to examine the effect of probing prompting assisted video learning model for learning outcomes and critical thinking skill of student. This type of research is quasi experiment with untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The research population was all students of X MIA MAN 2 Mataram. Sampling technique of this research use cluster random sampling so that there are two classes that is X MIA 1 as the experimental class and X MIA 3 as the control class. Type test used 20 choice question for learning outcomes and 5 essay for critical thinking skill. The posttest mean value for learning outcomes in experimental class and control class is 42,36 and 34,86. The posttest mean value for critical thinking skill in experimental class and control class is 54,86 and 46,08. Hypothesis testing of this research is MANOVA. The result of MANOVA test show a significant 0,004 so H<sub>0</sub> is rejected and H<sub>a </sub>is accepted. <em>The purpose of of this study is to determine the validity of a learning tools of characters-based problem on light and optical concept. This type of research is Research & Development refers to Dick & Carey model which consists of ten stages namely: identify instructional goal, conduct instructional analysis, analyze learner and contexts, write performance objektives, develop assessment, develop intrucsional strategy, develop and select instructional material, design and conduct formative evaluation of instruction, revise instruction, design and conduct summative evaluation. The formative evaluation stage was done by: the validation of the learning tools (syllabus, lesson plan, students worksheets, evaluation instruments) by three experts </em>twice <em>validation. Validation has been carried out by experts using a validity test instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Validity test for syllabus, lesson plan, student worksheet and evaluation instruments get results with very feasible. <em>In the era of development of science and technology until 2019 it has become increasingly sophisticated and makes life easier for humans. This progress has led to increasingly sophisticated technology with the intention of making life easier, practical, efficient and not experiencing much difficulty. But the development of these technologies, have positive and negative impacts. Positive impacts such as convenience, while negative impacts such as air pollution. Contamination of pollutants into the air resulting from factory activities, power plants and motor vehicles spread to the environment. This substance is very damaging to the environment which causes the air we breathe to be polluted and very influential on health. This study aims to describe the process of spreading pollutant concentrations in the air originating from factory chimney fumes. Pollutants that spread in the air can be modeled with the dispersion gauss model which is processed using the MATLAB programming language. The expected results from modeling are the distance of the highest pollutant concentration area and the range of pollutant coverage that spread, so that later will be done variations of the effective height of the chimney emission (H) to get results that vary according to the height of the chimney.</em>Jainal AbidinFerawati Artauli Hasibuan

<em><em>The purpose of making this <strong>article</strong> is to find out the deepening of the material about electrical circuits, the workings of electrical circuits, as between modules with the purpose of the practicum that has been done. This type of research is used by using literature studies and direct practices carried out in the Science Education laboratory room. The subjects used by them are students majoring in semester 2 Science Education University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The results of the research are the number of students who do not understand about the electricity practices that discuss modules because of the large number of vocabulary that is not understood by students. <em>This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models assisted by pocket book physics on problem-solving abilities. The type of research used was quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA Senior High School in Mataram. The research sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique, so that the selected students of class X MIPA five were 31 people as the experimental class and the X class MIPA six as many as 27 people as the control class. The experimental class was treated in the form of a problem-based learning model assisted by pocket book physics mobile and the control class was treated in the form of conventional learning. The instrument used to measure problem solving ability is a test instrument in the form of a descriptive test of five items. The research hypothesis was tested using the t-test with a significance level of 5%. The t-test produces a t-count value of problem solving ability of 5.832 which is smaller than </em> <em> which is equal to 2.003 so that H<sub>0</sub> is rejected and H<sub>a</sub> is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is the influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by pocket book physics on students' problem solving abilities. <div><p class="Abstract"><em>This research aim is to investigate the impact of simulation media toward critical thinking skill in static fluid concept. The research was conducted during 28 January 2019 until 13 February 2019 in SMAN 10 South Tangerang. The purposive sampiling technique was adjusted to determine subject which consist students role of XI IPA 2 as experiment class and XI IPA 1 as control class. The research used quasi experiment method due to nonequivalent control group design. The data were collective by 10 essays test and questionnaire and Mann Whitney to analyse the accpetance of hypothesis. Thus, the result of postest score who learn using simulation media was significant (angka signifikan) effected toward critical thinking skill. In addition, the N-Gain result indicated student performance of experiment class was higher improvement than control class. <em></em><em><em>The research have three aimed that include : (1) examine the effect of guided project based learning toward problem solving, (2) examine the effect of guided critical thinking ability toward problem solving, and (3) examine the interaction between project based leraning and critical thinking ability toward problem solving. This research is quasi experiment with factorial 2×2 design. The population is all of class XI MIPA in SMAN 1 Narmada. The sampling tehnique is cluster random sampling which XI MIPA 3 as experiment group with project based learning model and XI MPA 2 as control group with convensional model. Tehnique of collecting data of problem solving using essay test 7 question and collecting data of critical thinking ability using essay test 5 question. Data of research is normal and homogen that showed by </em> <em> , χ<sup>2</sup><sub>quantification</sub>≤ χ<sup>2</sup><sub>tabel</sub><sub> </sub>= 9,17<11,07 and 5,17<11,07. Data of reserach is analysed by anava two way with SPSS 18.0. The result of anava two way test showed that : (1) </em> <em> is 0,001</em> <em> which H<sub>0A</sub> rejected and H<sub>1A</sub> accepted, that showed there is the effect of project based learning toward problem solving. (2) </em> <em> is 0,001<0,05 which H<sub>0B</sub> rejected and H<sub>1B</sub> accepted, that showed there is the effect of critical thinking ability toward problem solving. <em>The rectangular sharp-crested weir often finds in irrigation open channels. The function of the rectangular sharp-crested weir measures and divides the water flow to be distributed to agricultural lands. The Rehbock equation, the Kinsvater-Carter equation, and the General equation are used to approach the discharge. On a laboratory scale, the measurement of the discharge using a small rectangular sharp-crested weir was used for experiments and simulations. Because of using The Rehbock equation, The Kinsvater-Carter equation, and The General equation for a field discharge measurements, it is necessary to research to find out the accuracy of the Rehbock Equation, the Kinsvater-Carter equation and the General equation in the laboratory scale. The research data included the dimensions of rectangular weirs, the height of the water on the rectangular sharp-crested weir, the width of the channel on the hydraulic bench and the actual discharge. Data collection of the height of water on the rectangular sharp-crested weir and the actual discharge was carried out 5 times the measurements with different discharges. These data were analyzed using the Rehbock equation, the Kinsvater-Carter equation, and the General equation. The discharge of the analysis results was compared with the actual discharge to find out the value of the calibration coefficient. The experimental results show that the Kinsvater-Carter equation and General equation can be applied for discharge measurements on the laboratory scale. The calibration coefficient for the Kinsvater-charter equation was 0.89 and the calibration coefficient for the general equation was 0.94.</em>Suhardi Suhardi

<div><p><em>This research is a classroom action research which aims to improve learning outcomes physics class in Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ihsan Kalijaring. The sample used in this research is class XI MIPA totaling 31 people, by applying science technology society learning model. This study is successful if students achieve learning outcomes classical completeness 85% with the value of each student reach ≥ 75.</em><em> Based on the evaluation of the obtained value of the average grade in the first cycle of 77.01 with 74.42% classical completeness. In the second cycle learning outcomes of students has increased, with an average grade of 93.02 and classical completeness amounted to 90.46%. </em><em>Based on the interest questionnaire that has been distributed to students before and after the action, data is obtained that the student's interest has increased. The indicators that showed an increase were the total score obtained before the administration of action was 1842 with an average of 42.84 increasing to 2</em><em>3</em><em>26 with an average of </em><em>54</em><em>.86.</em><em> </em><em>Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that by applying the Jigsaw cooperative learning model can increase interest and learning outcomes in physics class XI MIPA Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ihsan Kalijaring Tembelang Jombang.</em></p><p><em> </em></p></div>Muhammad Luqman Hakim Abbas

<em>This study aims to determine the effect of the cognitive conflict approach to a decrease in students’ misconceptions on business material and energy. This research is a quasi-experimental study with an “untreatsearch is a quasi-exed control group design withperimental study with pretest and posttest” design. The population in this study were all class X participants of SMAN 1 Gerung with Purposive Sampling sampling techniques. The experimental class (X MIPA 4) was given special treatment in the form of a cognitive conflict approach, while the control class (X MIPA 5) was not given special treatment and continued to study as before. Data on decreasing misconception were measured during learning and based on tests, both data were obtained based on the initial test and final test data. Data, when learning decreases misconception, is obtained based on the percentage decrease in misconceptions that occur. Data to test hypotheses with several variabeles in this study using the IBM SPSS 23 program with a significant 5%. <div><p><em>This research aims to determine: (1) the effect of generative learning models on students' critical thinking abilities in physics; (2) the effect of initial knowledge on students' critical thinking abilities in physics; (3) the interaction between generative learning models with initial knowledge of students' critical thinking physics abilities. This type of research is a quasi-experimental 2x2 factorial design. The population were all students of class X MIA SMAN 1 Gunungsari in the 2018/2019 school year. The research sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique, so students in class X MIA 3 were selected as the experimental class and students in class X MIA 4 were as the control class. Initial knowledge data were taken using multiple choice tests of 10 questions and critical thinking abilities data using 5 question essay tests. The results of the data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that: (1) there was an influence of generative learning models on students' critical thinking abilities in physics; (2) there is an influence of initial instruction on students' critical thinking abilities in physics; (3) there is no interaction effect between the generative learning model and initial knowledge on the students' critical thinking abilities in physics.</em></p></div>Hevida Aulia YatmiWahyudi WahyudiSyahrial Ayub

Total sampling is a sampling technique where the number of samples is equal to the population. The technique of collecting data is by submitting an instrument consisting of a questionnaire to a predetermined research sample. <em>This research is motivated by the fact that teachers in learning have never used instructional media in the form of audio-visual or video in explaining learning materials for home design. This research is a development research (development research) with 4D design (define, design, developed, desimination). The study was conducted in the department of building engineering at SMKN 2 Kuripan especially on home design subjects. Retrieval of research data using project-based classical completeness tests. The results of the study, as many as 82.61% or 19 students thoroughly designed the house without having to do remidial, while the remaining 17.39% or 4 new people declared complete after remidial. In the second stage, students are assigned to practice the material by designing house plans. 100% complete results. <p><em><em>This study aims to determine the effect of the learning model of conceptual understanding procedures (CUPs) with problem solving techniques on mastering the concept of physics of students for optical instrument material in SMAN 7 Mataram in the academic year 2018/2019. This type of research used quasi-experimental design with untreated control group design with pre-test and post-test. The population is all students of XI MIPA class with taking the research sample using purposive sampling technique, so that students of XI MIPA 3 class were selected as the experimental class and XI MIPA 2 class as the control class. Data collection techniques used the initial test (pre-test) and final test (post-test) with multiple choice questions as many as 20 items. To test the research hypothesis used parametric statistical tests, namely the t-test with pre-test and post-test. From the calculation results obtained by the value of t-count of 4.42 which value is greater than t-table which is 2.008 at a significant level of 5%, so it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, there is the influence of the learning model of conceptual understanding procedures (CUPs) with problem solving techniques on mastering of physics concepts of students of XI MIPA class at SMAN 7 Mataram in the academic year 2018/2019.</em></em></p>Charisma Permadi ZulmiHairunisyah SahiduJannatin 'Ardhuha

<em>This study aims to analyze the effect of the concept attainment model with the demonstration method on the mastery of student physical concepts. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test control group design. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA in one of the state high schools in West Lombok. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique, so that the sample used in the study was class XI MIPA 3 as an experimental class and class XI MIPA 6 as a control class. The instrument used in this study was in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 21 items. The pre-test results show that the average value of the experimental class is 37,3 and the control class is 35,9. Data analysis techniques using t-test with pre-test and post-test, so that the results of the hypothesis test conducted at the final test obtained t-count of 2,250 and t-table of 2,012. Because t-count is greater than t-table, it can be concluded that H<sub>0</sub> is rejected, it means that the concept attainment model with the demonstration method affects the mastery of the physics concepts of high school students. </em>Atikatun HulwaniSusilawati SusilawatiKosim Kosim

<em><em>Learning creativity is one of the important things in a learning process. The creativity of student in learning will greatly affect the student to obtain a success. This study aims to determine the level of student learning creativity at Jambi City Ferdy Ferry High School on physics subjects. The type of research method used is quantitative research with descriptive analysis. The instrument used was a learning independence questionnaire consisting of 23 statements using 4 likert scales. The subjects of this study were students of class XII Science 3 and XII Science 4 SMAS Ferdy Ferry Jambi City, which totaled 43 student. The results of the questionnaire data were processed using SPPS to get accurate data. The results showed that in class XII Natural Sciences 3 the category was never as much as 9.5% (2 of 21 students), the rare category was 33.3% (7 of 21 students), the frequent category was 38.1% (8 out of 21 students), and the category was always as many as 19% (4 of 21 students). And the results of research from class XII Science 4 categories never amounted to 9.1% (2 of 22 students), rare categories of 18.2% (4 of 22 students), frequent categories of 54.5% (12 out of 22 students), and categories always amounted to 18.2 % (4 out of 22 students). From the research that has been carried out it can be seen that students from both classes are at the same level of creativity.</em></em>Puspa Cantika Riana

<div><p><em>This research</em><em> </em><em>aims to determine the effect of inquiry learning model with experimental methods towards the result of physics learning of students SMAN 1 Gunungsari academic year 2016/2017. This type of research is a quasi experimental research with pretest-postest control group design. Sampling was done using purposive sampling technique. The results of this research are learning</em><em> outcomes</em><em> in the cognitive domain while for the affective domain, and psychomotor as supporting data. The instrument used to measure </em><em>the learning outcomes</em><em> in the cognitive domain is an objective test that firstly tested the validity, reliability, differentiation, and degree of difficulty. The average grade of the experimental class's learning result is 68.06 and the control class is 56.25. The result of prerequisite analysis test shows that post</em><em> </em><em>test data are normal and homogeneous distributed so that statistic test used is parametric statistic t-test polled varian</em><em>s</em><em> with t test criterion, and obtained t</em><em> </em><em>count equal to 3,95 and t</em><em> </em><em>table equal to 2.00 at 5% significant level. <em>This study aims to examine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by contextual videos on the mastery of the physics concepts of students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with untreated control group design with pretest-posttest. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA SMAN 3 Mataram. Sampling uses a purposive sampling technique, so students selected class X MIA 3 as the control class and class X MIA 2 as the experimental class. The type of test used for concept mastery consists of 30 multiple choice questions. The average value of posttest mastery of concepts in the experimental class and control class is 73.20 and 66.18. The statistical analysis used for hypothesis testing in this study was the t-test with a significance level of 5%. Hypothesis test results show the value of t arithmetic 2.52 is greater than the value of t table that is 2.00 so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted it can be concluded that there is an effect of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by contextual videos on the mastery of the physics concepts of students.</em>Selva Eka YolandaGunawan GunawanSutrio Sutrio

<div><div><p><em>This research was conducted with the aim to find out the description of the attitude of interest in learning towards physics possessed by students in SMA Negegi 6 Muaro Jambi. The design of this research is quantitative research with the instrument used is a questionnaire. The population of this study is 6 Muaro Jambi Public High School and the sample taken is Muaro Jambi 6 Public High School students. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS Application. This research is aimed to determine the effect of guided-inquiry learning model using PhET simulation on creativity at SMAN 1 Tanjung of academic year 2019/2020. This research is quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research is all student of grade XI SMAN 1 Tanjung of academic year 2019/2020, while the sampling technique used purposive sampling, while the sampling are the student of grade XI MIPA 2 as the experimental group and the student of grade XI MIPA 1 as control group. Creativity data be measured on creativity test which the type test used 7 essay. The research hypothesis was tested using t-test independent. The result of t-test show that tobtained>ttable.
