Metode Cepat Analisis Merkuri Hg Secara Cloud Point Extraction Dalam Sistem Thio Michler’s Ketone – Triton X114 Secara Spektrofotometri

Abstract


Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis merkuri secara cloud point extraction dalam sistem Thio Michlre’s Ketone TMK-Triton X114. Analisis merkuri didasarkan pada reaksi pembentukan senyawa kompleks merkuri-4,4'-Bis(dimethylamino)thio-benzophenone (TMK) yang terdistribusi dalam surfaktan dan mengalami pemisahan fasa di atas suhu cloud point. Fasa surfaktan yang mengandung senyawa kompleks merkuri-Thio Michler’s Ketone diukur absorbansinya menggunakan spektrofotometer Uv-vis. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kondisi optimum metode analisis adalah sebagai berikut: absorbansi maksimum terjadi pada l = 574 nm;  pH 3,5; [TMK] 0,1 mM, suhu cloud point extraction CPE 60oC; waktu ekstraksi 20 menit; persentase triton sebesar 0,2 %v/v. Validitas metode ditunjukkan oleh nilai limit deteksi sebesar 0,0090 mg/ml; rentang kepercayaan sebesar  mg/ml, persen recovery antara 98 – 101 %, dan menunjukkan selektivitas cukup tinggi terhadap ion Cu. Metode ini juga dapat diterapkan pada sampel nyata terutama air dan sedimen di lokasi  gelondongan emas.
