Analisis Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Ditinjau dari Gaya Kognitif Siswa

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to think critically mathematically in terms of the cognitive style of grade VIII students at MTs Nurul Haramain NWDI Putra Narmada. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This type of data collection uses a simple random sampling technique. The subjects in this study were class VIIIA students totaling 28 students. Data collection techniques used mathematical critical thinking ability tests, cognitive style tests Matching Familiar Figure Test (MFFT) and interviews. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The indicators used to measure critical thinking skills are interpretation, analysis, evaluation and inference. The results showed that reflective students had high critical thinking ability criteria. Reflective students are able to meet indicators of understanding problems (interpretation), identifying links between concepts (analysis), using appropriate strategies (evaluation) and making conclusions (inference). Reflective students have the characteristics of working on questions for a long time but are precise and thorough to get answers. While impulsive students have moderate critical thinking ability criteria. Impulsive students are only able to meet the indicators of understanding the problem (analysis). Impulsive students have characteristics of being quick in doing questions so that they are less careful so that the answers given are wrong.
