Abstract

This study aims to identify Anopheles mosquito species and the relationship between temperature and humidity factors on the presence of mosquitoes in Sarang Tiung Village, Pulau Laut Utara District, Kotabaru Regency. Sampling was carried out in three types of habitats, namely around houses, livestock pens, and swamps, using the human landing collection (HLC) method at night from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM WITA. Environmental factors measured include temperature and humidity. Mosquito identification was carried out at the Basic Laboratory of FMIPA ULM using the identification key for adult Anopheles mosquitoes in Indonesia. The results showed that swamp habitats had the highest number of mosquitoes around houses (21), livestock pens (7), and swamps (3), with a temperature range of 23°C-29°C and humidity of 67%-89%. The species found consisted of An sundaicus, An. vagus, An. aitkenii, and An. sinensis. The most frequently found species was An.  sundaicus, especially around residents' homes.
