Abstract

During the first 1,000 days of life, stunting continues to be a significant public health concern because it results in persistent growth restriction and poor cognitive performance. This studyanalyzed the association between basic immunization status and stunting severityamong children aged 6–24 months in the Bagu Primary Health Center coverage area, Central Lombok. An observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. Secondary records from Maternal and Child Health books and questionnaire-based primary data were gathered. A total of 43 stunted children meeting the selection criteria were evaluated using the Chi-Square test. The results indicated that 19 children (44.2%) had complete basic immunization, whereas 24 children (55.8%) had incomplete or delayed immunization histories. Bivariate analysis revealed no statistically significant relationship between basic immunization status and stunting severity (p = 0.555).1.45; 95% CI: 0.428–4.908). The reported odds ratio was 1.45 (95% CI: 0.428–4.908); however, the estimate was imprecise and not statistically significant, and its direction should be interpreted according to the explicitly defined outcome coding.= 1.45; 95% CI: 0.428–4.908). In conclusion, basic immunization status is not significantly associated with stunting severity in children within this working area. Comprehensive strategies incorporating nutritional interventions, sanitation enhancement, and infection prevention should be emphasized alongside immunization programs.
