sangat ringan hingga ringan.

ABSTRACT
The aime of the research was to use makrozoobenthic community as bioindicator of Cisadane
River headstream by some biological indices analyses. Sample collections were made in
headstream segment of Cisadane River in Pasir Buncir Village, Bogor Regency, West Jawa
on June ââ¬â August 2006. Some biological indices were applied, i.e. Shannon-Wiener index,
LQI, FBI, Indeks Pantle & Buck, and SIGNAL 2; in addition, water quality analysis was also
performed. The results showed that the composition and abundance of makrozoobenthic
community varied among sampling stations as well as sampling time. The indices showed
that the river segment was very light until light polluted. FBI seemed to be the suitable index
to determine pollution status in the river, and for applying in Indonesia.
