Uji Kompetensi Autodesk Inventor untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Desain Teknik Siswa SMK Negeri 1 Trenggalek

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the Computer-Aided Design (CAD)-based technical design competencies of students at SMK Negeri 1 Trenggalek through a competency assessment using Autodesk Inventor. The activity was conducted in the form of a practical competency assessment consisting of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage involved obtaining permission, identifying the requirements for the competency assessment through observation, and providing the necessary facilities and infrastructure to support the activity. The implementation stage consisted of demonstrations on the use of Autodesk Inventor and practical assistance in creating both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) technical designs. The evaluation stage was carried out through observation during the competency assessment and by administering practice questions to the participants. The results showed that the competency assessment was successfully conducted and received positive responses from the participants. The students demonstrated high enthusiasm throughout the activity and were able to understand the basic use of Autodesk Inventor in the process of computer-based technical design. Based on the evaluation results of 34 students through 10 practice questions, the participants achieved an average score of 96.76, indicating that most of them had a good understanding of the competency assessment materials. This competency assessment activity is expected to improve students' skills in using technical design software and support graduates' readiness to meet the demands of the technology-based world of work and industry.
