Types of Articles
JPFT accepts the following types of manuscripts, provided that they align with the journal's focus and scope and meet its scholarly and editorial requirements.
1. Research Articles
Research articles report original empirical or theoretical investigations that contribute new findings, insights, methods, or applications to physics education, applied technology in physics, or physics learning technology. These manuscripts should present a clear research problem, relevant literature, an appropriate methodology, well-supported results, and a discussion of the significance and implications of the findings.
2. Literature Review Articles
Literature review articles provide a systematic, critical, or integrative examination of existing scholarly literature on topics relevant to the journal's scope. These articles should synthesize and critically evaluate previous studies, identify patterns and research gaps, discuss emerging developments, and establish meaningful implications for future research, educational practice, or technological development.
Literature reviews may adopt appropriate approaches, such as systematic literature reviews, scoping reviews, or other clearly defined review methodologies. Authors should explain their literature search and selection procedures, analytical approach, and synthesis process as appropriate to the chosen review design. A review article should offer more than a descriptive summary of previous publications and should provide a clear scholarly contribution.
