Proses Berpikir Kritis Mahasiswa dalam Memecahkan Masalah Investigasi Matematik

Abstract
Kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah salah satu kemampuan yang dibutuhkan di abad ke-21, sehingga menjadi seorang pemikir kritis merupakan salah satu tujuan sistem pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini. Hingga saat ini informasi yang tersedia mengenai deskripsi proses berpikir kritis calon guru matematika masih sangat terbatas. Di lain pihak, pembelajaran matematika dalam setiap jenjang pendidikan harus memberikan kesempatan untuk melakukan suatu kegiatan investigasi matematik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah investigasi matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan metodologi pendekatan campuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 tahapan proses kognitif yang dilakukan mahasiswa ketika memecahkan soal investigasi matematik pada materi induksi matematika, yaitu spesialisasi, pendugaan, generalisasi, dan justifikasi. Pada tahap spesialisasi, mahasiswa cenderung mencoba beberapa kasus khusus untuk dapat menemukan pola secara umum. Pada tahap pendugaan, mahasiswa cenderung mencari pola dari beberapa kasus khusus yang ada untuk kemudian dirumuskan secara umum. Pada tahap generalisasi, mahasiswa merumuskan pola yang didapat secara umum. Terakhir, pada tahap justifikasi, mahasiswa membuktikan kebenaran rumus yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan induksi matematika. Beberapa kesalahan ditemukan dalam tahapan proses kognitif tersebut, antara lain kesalahan konseptual dan kesalahan procedural.
