Abstract
This study aims to determine the validity and practicality of a chemistry magazine on acid-base material. The study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). The define stage aims to determine the scope of the magazine development. The next step is to create an initial design for the chemistry magazine. The development stage aims to build the chemistry magazine, and the final step is to distribute it. The trial was conducted with 24 students from class XII MIPA-1 at SMAN 1 Suralaga. The results of the study showed that the validity value obtained from three validators using the Aiken's formula was 0.85 with a very valid category and a reliability value of 0.93 with a very high category. The level of practicality was measured through a student response questionnaire to the chemistry magazine. The analysis of the practicality data from student responses to the chemistry magazine yielded an average practicality score of 84%, placing it in the very practical category, indicating that students responded well to the developed chemistry magazine on acid-base material. Based on the data, the developed chemistry magazine on acid-base material is feasible and practical for use as reading material in the learning process.
